We are optimistic that with the increasing distribution of vaccines, together with ongoing safe practices, that group events can resume by mid-year. Therefore we are making plans for the 2021 version of the BAY DAYS 5-MI & KIDS' FUN RUN. This year's event will take place on Saturday, July 3rd (yes, we really mean July 3rd) as part of the annual Bay Days festival in Bay Village. This is always a great way to kick off your Independence holiday celebration. Plan to bring your whole family and your friends on Saturday morning for the race then stick around for the Bay Days festival and finish off your day with the big fireworks show that evening (yes, really really on July 3rd). More information including how to register will be coming soon but circle your calendar for July 3rd for this great event.
Note that during the summer of 2021, construction may be initiated at the Bay High School stadium and the exact start and finish line may need to be relocated based on those construction plans. More information will be forthcoming when details are known.
Proceeds from the 2021 Bay Days race are targeted to support the Carolyn L. Farrell Foundation for Brain Health, a local non-profit charity that provides activity-based programs for people living at home with dementia/Alzheimer's. They bring programming to the community to help support people's treatment plan and management of their illness. We hope you will consider donating to the Farrell Foundation to support their programming that helps so many in our area. Learn more at FarrellFoundation.org
Cleveland West Road Runners hopes each of your find your own way to keep running and stay healthy and we look forward to seeing you at the starting line of the 2021 Bay Days 5-mi and Kids' Fun Run.
